Subsidized Farm Shares for Northampton’s Seniors
Each week this past summer, GFN volunteers delivered boxes of delicious vegetables from our very own Crimson & Clover Farm to the Northampton Senior Center so that nine low-income seniors could enjoy a summer of fresh, local food. This effort was a partnership with CISA’s Senior Farm Share program to offer 10-weeks of fresh food to hundreds of low-income seniors throughout the Valley.
In addition to delivering the shares , GFN contributed the $900 needed to make the nine subsidized shares possible.
