Much of our role in a region that is renowned for its robust local food movement involves supporting and partnering with existing organizations to deliver or expand services in Northampton. These alliances are central to the long-term sustainability of our work to build a culture of resiliency in our food systems.

Senior Shares

As part of our commitment to make great, locally-produced food available to everyone in our community we are proud to be partnering with Crimson & Clover Farm and Town Farm to deliver CISA’s discounted CSA share program for eligible seniors.  Read More

Members of Grow Food Northampton, Montview Neighborhood Farm and a gathering of local citizens, helped to direct the Conway School of Landscape Design’s food security plan, Feed Northampton: First Steps Toward a Local Food System.  Read More

Keep Farming: Northampton

How important is farming to our local economy?  What can our community do to better support agriculture?  Volunteers of Keep Farming aim to find out. GFN is serving in a leadership role to bring this agricultural planning process to Northampton.  Read More

Food Curriculum Survey in Northampton public schools

GFN supported Fresh Wednesdays, an initiative of the Healthy Foods in Northampton Schools Coalition, by developing a survey to identify the food, nutrition, and local agriculture topics currently discussed in classrooms.Read More

Forever Farmland

The Northampton Community Farm marks the first Forever Farmland posting west of the Connecticut River. Forever Farmland is an initiative of the Kestrel Land Trust.Read More

This year, Grow Food Northampton teamed up with the wonderful folks at Tuesday Market to raise the $12,000 needed to continue the FoodStampsX2 program for the entire season. Thank you to our generous donors! The response was overwhelming and we quickly surpassed our goal for the 2011 season. Read More
